Let the Dam Breach.
We are not asking Toll Brothers to abandon the proposed permanent breach of the Irene/Tharp Lake dam. Instead, we are asking engineers to evaluate whether a separate, independently engineered retained-water basin can be created adjacent to 12675 Silver Fox Court while allowing Toll's permanent breach and downstream stream-restoration work to proceed.
Nearly half of the home's interior — 24 doors and 8 windows — is oriented directly toward the lake. The architecture of the home is fundamentally connected to this view. If the lake is simply drained, that condition will become the dominant view from virtually the entire rear half of our home, potentially for generations.
